Business Overview:
The Transportation Banking and Capital Markets ("TBCM") Group is part of BNPP's Asset Finance & Securitization Group and functions as originator, adviser and arranger of capital markets and debt transactions that are secured by transportation assets including aircraft, containers and railcars. The group is situated in New York, is an extremely active participant in the market and provides a range of products to its client base which includes airlines, aircraft leasing companies, alternative aviation lenders and institutional funds such as private equity firms and asset managers.
TBCM benefits from its longstanding involvement and experience in aviation finance, enabling the team to structure tailor-made financings through a combination of various products, including aviation capital markets (ABS, EETCs), structured term loans, aircraft warehouse facilities, tax optimized lease structures and export credit facilities.
The team is uniquely positioned as a blend of banking and capital markets while collaborating within BNPP with other teams to generate cross-sell business for Debt Capital Markets ("DCM"), Derivatives, Fuel Hedging, Equity products ("ECM"), Cash Management and Leveraged Finance.

Origination
• Assist in structuring of debt and capital markets facilities (commercial loans, ECA guaranteed financings, warehouse debt, EETC, aircraft ABS and tax optimized lease structures) secured by aircraft and other transportation assets
• Prepare origination pitch books and marketing materials for banking and capital markets products
• Undertake credit risk assessments for lending proposals made by TBCM to airline and aircraft leasing clients
• Prepare greenlight memos and credit proposals in collaboration with the credit/coverage teams for credit committee approval
• Run financial and cash flow models in Excel for prospective structured debt and capital markets transactions
• Support senior originators in loan origination and deal execution efforts
• Liaise with other staff within the bank, such as account relationship managers to compile a complete and coherent credit proposal which is presented to the bank's senior risk management
• Participate in negotiation of asset financing term sheets and transaction legal documents
• Support the syndication team in their efforts to syndicate loans
• Execute transactions and closings by liaising with the middle office, back office and agency teams Portfolio Management
• Monitor existing transactions and perform regular reviews of exposures to maintain overall credit quality of the portfolio. Collect aircraft valuations and prepare analyses and projections
• Prepare waivers and select amendments
• Work with the restructuring team (Value Preservation Group) to handle non-performing loans and protect the bank's assets
• As required, prepare reports for Risk Corporate and Senior Management Teams, including Paris Head Office Other
• Conduct economic and industry research on transportation/aviation assets and prepare research documents to update Risk Corporate and other teams on industry specific trends
• Assist the senior members of the team in preparing fee reports, budget and producing pipeline Minimum Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree or foreign education equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics and two (2) years of experience performing credit analysis in Aviation/Transportation related roles
• Solid credit and analytical background
• Modeling skills to build financial and cash-flow models in Excel and assess risk and future financial performance
• Experience drafting and presenting memos, including credit proposals and client presentations
• Communication and presentation skills (verbal & written) Preferred Qualifications:
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Transportation/Aviation Sector and/or with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Banking
• Masters in Finance or CFA FINRA Registrations Preferred

• Not Applicable The expected starting salary range for this position is between $150,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
